Rotary.TalentFarm.ai, a collaborative initiative between TalentFarm.ai and Rotary Club of Hyderabad East was launched by the Rotary International President elect Mr. Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo in the presence of distinguished Rotarians across India at ITC Kohinoor, Hyderabad.
The initiative aims to skill one million youth in the next five years and one million every year thereafter.
Giving a context to the initiative, Pankaj Diwan, Co-Founder of TalentFarm.ai and a Rotarian himself, explained the Talent Paradox that exists in India where on one side, the youth are in a state of despondency about jobs and employment and the corporates and startups are clamouring for talent.
The primary reason for this is the mismatch of skills learnt in schools and colleges and industry requirements.
TalentFarm.ai, an award-winning AI based skilling platform aims to resolve this by providing hands-on application-oriented/ problem solving approach with access to curated learning resources and industry mentors.
The initiative will be primarily driven by CSR funds of the industry. The beneficiaries will be identified primarily based on their economic criteria along with emphasis on gender diversity and regional diversity.
While it will help the under privileged students, it will also help corporates getting access to high quality curated talent pool and help them score on Diversity and Inclusivity quotient.
Mr. Jawahar Vadlamani, a senior Rotarian and Past District Governor has been the mentor of this initiative from Rotary Club of Hyderabad East.
Rotary District Governor Rtn. Sharath Chowdary, Rotary Internal Director, Rtn. Ravi Subramanian, Rotary International Director Elect Rtn. Nagesh and other senior Rotarians were present during the occasion.
